The International Academic Consortium for Sustainable Cities (IACSC) is an international network of universities and research institutions dedicated to promoting sustainable urban development. Established in September 2009 during the CITYNET Yokohama Congress, the consortium aims to foster collaboration among academic institutions, city governments, international organisations, NGOs, and other stakeholders to address urban challenges and advance sustainable cities.
The International Academic Consortium for Sustainable Cities (IACSC) Conference 2025 is set to be hosted by Hasanuddin University (UNHAS) in Makassar, Indonesia. This annual conference serves as a platform for scholars, policymakers, and urban planners to exchange knowledge, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and discuss policies aimed at sustainable urban development, health, and the Environment.
